Abba's River Ministries was founded by Tara Browder and it is the non-profit extension of her ministry; whereas, Tara Browder Media is the business one. In May of 2010, Tara Browder transitioned out of her teaching career of nearly a decade into the world of full time ministry as a missionary and itinerant minister and speaker. This transition began with a ministry trip to Thailand where she learned her name meant "River or Stream" in Thai. This is where the idea for Abba's River Ministries began. Tara's desire is to be an extension of Abba's (Father God's) river that flows from Him and through Him to others. This river is described in Ezekiel 47 and Revelation 22, and key characteristics of this river are:
- It flows from the throne of God in heaven
- Those who are planted by this river will be like trees whose leaves provide healing to the nations (Ezekiel 47:7-9, Psalm 1:3)
- The trees planted by this river produce fruit in EVERY SEASON. (Rev 22:2, Psalm 1:3)
Tara's desire is for herself and all those she ministers to to be like the righteous ones in Psalm 1 who are like trees planted by streams of living water, and that as a result, no matter the season, they would be ones who could bring healing locally and abroad in the nations. The heart behind Abba's River Ministries is to train up the Body of Christ in the U.S. and abroad to be extensions of Abba's River Ministries in their spheres of influence and for God's love, power, and healing to flow them in all nations.
The vision of Abba's River Ministries is being accomplished in the following ways:
- International Mission Trips: ministering in foreign nations (such as Brazil, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Japan) spiritual encouragement and ministry equipping for Christian ministry and church leaders - read more
